Ingredients

  • 1 nectarine ripe
  • 1 banana ripe
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed milled
  • ½ cup milk using full fat milk
  • ¼ cup yogurt using full fat yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon honey or sugar optional and to taste
  • Few sliced almonds for garnishing

Instructions

  • Wash the nectarine thoroughly and roughly chop it and remove its pit (stone in the center).
  • Peel the banana and roughly slice it.
  • In a blender add all the ingredients and blend until everything smooth.
  • Pour immediately and serve garnished with sliced almonds (optional)

Notes

  • Use ripe nectarines and bananas. They will be naturally sweeter and you won't need much of honey or sugar.
  • Blend the ingredients for at least a minute in a high-speed blender. If you don't have a high-speed blender, you will need to blend it a little longer to get it nice and smooth.
  • Use frozen fruits for that slushie kind of smoothie.
  • In addition to flaxseeds, chia seeds and hemp seeds can be used.
  • To make this smoothie vegan, use plant-based milk and yogurt, and if using sweetener use maple syrup or sugar rather than honey.
