Delicious, nutritious, and refreshing banana nectarine smoothie made with simple and fresh ingredients is the perfect breakfast or mid-afternoon snack!
Wash the nectarine thoroughly and roughly chop it and remove its pit (stone in the center).
Peel the banana and roughly slice it.
In a blender add all the ingredients and blend until everything smooth.
Pour immediately and serve garnished with sliced almonds (optional)
Notes
Use ripe nectarines and bananas. They will be naturally sweeter and you won't need much of honey or sugar.
Blend the ingredients for at least a minute in a high-speed blender. If you don't have a high-speed blender, you will need to blend it a little longer to get it nice and smooth.
Use frozen fruits for that slushie kind of smoothie.
In addition to flaxseeds, chia seeds and hemp seeds can be used.
To make this smoothie vegan, use plant-based milk and yogurt, and if using sweetener use maple syrup or sugar rather than honey.
