Ingredients

  • 1 Mango peeled and chopped
  • 1 kiwi peeled and chopped
  • ½ banana peeled and chopped
  • ½ cup pineapple pieces using frozen
  • 2-3 strawberries washed and chopped
  • ½ cup coconut water
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon yogurt
  • pinch salt
  • Ice cubes optional and as required
  • Sugar/honey/sweetener of choice optional and as required

Instructions

  • In a blender add the chopped fruits, followed by yogurt, orange juice, coconut water. Blend until smooth. Pour in a glass and serve immediately.

Notes

  • I prefer using ripe banana as that gives me enough sweetness to skip adding sugar/honey.
  • You can replace coconut water with coconut milk or regular milk too (skip orange juice).
  • Other tropical fruits like papaya can also be added to this smoothie.
  • I've skipped adding sugar to this smoothie as the sweetness from mangoes and banana was perfect for me. You can add sweetener of choice.
  • Add oats to make it more filling. Or, give it a boost of omega 3 by adding chia seeds and flax seeds.
  • This recipe makes enough for 1 large smoothie or two smaller ones. The recipe is easily halved and doubled.
  • The salt really helps bring out the sweetness and little goes a long way.
