Paneer Bhurji is a popular North Indian dish made with crumbled paneer (Indian cottage cheese), onion, tomatoes, bell pepper, and spices. This Punjabi Style Dry Paneer Bhurji recipe is quick, soft, creamy, and ready to serve in 20 minutes.


In a pan or wok, heat butter, add cumin seeds and saute onions until translucent. Stir in ginger, garlic and green chilies and tomatoes and cook for 2 mins

Step 1-4

Add the bell pepper and cook till the tomatoes are soft. Stir in the spices and cook for 2 mins. Add crumbled paneer, and mix. Finish with Kasuri methi, lemon juice and cilantro 

Step 5-8

Soft creamy and delicious Paneer Bhurji is ready!

Serve Paneer bhurji as a side dish with freshly made chapati, roti, paratha, and naan
