Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Vanilla ice cream or chocolate ice cream or Frozen Yogurt
  • ½ cup whole milk or as needed per consistency
  • ¼ cup Nutella sweetened hazelnut cocoa spread

For serving (optional)

  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream one scoop for each serving, or use whipped cream
  • 2 tablespoon nutella for drizzliing on top, one tablespoon for each serving,

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients ice cream, milk and nutella in that order into the blender and blend (about 20-30 seconds) until everything is well combined and frothy!!
  • Our creamy and delicious Nutella Milkshake is ready. Serve immediately!!
  • Pour it in a tall glass, add a dollop of ice cream and drizzle some Nutella on top. Enjoy!!

Notes

Use chilled milk and ice cream right out of the freezer for that thick shake consistency. Warm milk will cause the ice cream to melt and melted ice cream will change the milkshake consistency.
Add the Nutella last on top of the ice cream for it to blend well. Adding it first causes it to stick to the bottom of the blender and that does not blend well.
Want to keep it healthy!! Skip the ice cream and use frozen bananas instead!! Although that definitely changes the taste! Alternately use frozen yogurt instead of ice cream.
This milkshake is already sweet enough for our taste due to the sugars in Nutella and ice cream but if you prefer it sweet add sugar (to taste) while blending.
I prefer whole milk but 2%, skim milk or even almond milk can be used.
