Holi Recipes | Sweet, Savory and Fusion Recipes
Holi is a popular Indian festival of colors and marks the arrival of the spring season. Typically celebrated in March, this Hindu Holi festival signifies the triumph of good over evil.
Every region in India has its own way and ritual to celebrate Holi.
The celebration begins a night before Holi and is called Holika Dahan where people gather and do rituals around a bonfire. The next morning is Holi, where family & friends meet and play with colors, water, have fun and eat good food.
No festival in India is complete without delicious food so here are some sweet and savory snacks along with some fusion recipes you can make on Holi.
Growing up, Aaji (Grandma) and Mom always made Puran Poli on Holi while at my husband's place it was Gujiya. Also cannot forget Thandai drink without which this Holi festival is incomplete.
Wishing everyone a happy and safe Holi!
